Denis Rogatyuk (born 1990). Russian-Australian editor, journalist and correspondent in Latin America. He is currently international editor of the El Ciudadano newspaper in Chile and the international editor of Jacobin América Latina.He has over 8 years of journalistic experience in Australia, Europe and several Latin American countries. At the start of the coup from July 2019 to early November 2019, he was a correspondent for El Ciudadano in Bolivia.

SYNOPSIS
The “Bolivia Insumisa” project is the work of an international group of independent filmmakers and journalists who bore witness to the events that occurred in Bolivia.
It is a cinematic journey through the events surrounding the November 2019 coup, Bolivia's resistance and fight for democracy. It sheds light on the continued search for justice of the victims of repression and their families, as well as the significance of these events in today's world.
The film incorporates exclusive interviews with former President Evo Morales Ayma, former Vice President Álvaro García Linera, current Vice President David Choquehuanca, Juan Ramón Quintana, Adriana Salvatierra and other important political leaders of Bolivia.
Additionally it features:
- Original interviews with the victims of the repression of the Jeanine Añez regime, as well as the families of those who fell in the Senkata and Sacaba massacres.
- An analysis of Bolivia's history of rebellions, revolutions, military dictatorships, and authoritarian regimes in the lead-up to the November 2019 coup.
- Detailed filming of the journey to the heart of the South American country, featuring the landscape and communities of Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, La Paz, El Alto and more.
Meet the team
Alejandro Uzeda, born in 1994, was the recipient of the CUOMO scholarship. He graduated with a specialization in Film Edition from the International School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba (2017-2020). He has participated in various editing workshops led by masters such as Miguel Schverdfinger (known for "La Mujer Sin Cabeza" and "Zama" directed by Lucrecia Martel), Svetolik Zajc (known for "Gato Negro Gato Blanco" and "Underground" directed by Emir Kusturika), and Lucrecia Gutierrez (known for "Tempestad" directed by Tatiana Huezo). Alejandro has collaborated as an editor on over a dozen short films that have been selected at prestigious international festivals including: Visions du Réel, San Sebastián, Biarritz Amérique Latine Festival, Málaga, Guanajuato, FICUNAM (Mexico), Mar del Plata (Argentina), International Film Festival (Mexico), Frontera-Sur (Chile), Olhar de Cinema (Brazil), and Doc Buenos Aires (Argentina).
Since 2009, he has worked at "Jiyawa Música," a studio dedicated to the production and promotion of emerging talents in contemporary Bolivian music. Since then, he has produced works such as "La Senda" with Elvira Espejo; "...When they were little, their sonatas-the Baroque hualaycho," Cartografía (Voz Abierta), Ukamau y Ke (Abraham Bohorquez), Cantos Quechuas (Ars Nova), Tero, Utach Kirki (songs for the Houses), as well as soundtracks for video, theater, ballet, installations, etc.
On numerous occasions (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2022) has been commissioned by the Foundation Festijazz International of Bolivia to produce and direct the inaugural concerts of the Festijazz

The film describes the experiences of dozens of witnesses to the events in Bolivia in the period 2019-2022. Among them are many Bolivian political leaders, trade union heads, indigenous leaders, Bolivian intellectuals, religious leaders, former political prisoners and many more.
